Taj exotica resort & spa, maldives ranked among top hotels in the world: "

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa has won tenth place in Condé Nast Traveller UK 2010 Readers’ Travel Awards under the category of ‘Best Overseas Leisure Hotels in Africa, Middle East and the Indian Ocean’. This sees the exclusive resort jump up eight places from its 2009 ranking.

General Manager of the hotel, Girish Sehgal said: “I am delighted that Taj Exotica Resort & Spa has won yet another top award. This recognition from the readers of Condé Nast Traveller is testament to the hotel’s outstanding personal service, its excellent facilities, as well as the pristine natural beauty and privacy of the island itself.”

This comes just months after other accolades including Gallivanter’s Guide (Top Rated Resort in Maldives, May 2010), Leading Hotels of the World (Best Hotel for Commitment to Quality and Excellence, 2009) and Sunday Times Travel Magazine (Top 100 Best Hotels in the World, December 2009).

In January 2010, Condé Nast Traveller recognised the hotel’s commitment to the environment, showcasing it as one of the ‘Top Eco Luxury Resorts’ in the Maldives. It was also the first resort in the Maldives to have been re-awarded the prestigious Green Globe Certified Silver status under the global certification program for environmentally friendly hotels in December 2009.

The hotel is also renowned for its unique dining experiences from stand-alone pavilion suspended over the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean to the award winning specialty restaurant the Deep End, which won the ‘Wine Spectator Restaurant Award Winner’ recently in August 2010.

The resort also offers the ultimate in luxurious private dining either in the privacy of your villa or any of your chosen spot on the island where the team of dedicated butlers bring the gourmet experience to you. Apart the above there is also the option of the popular Beach Dining at the ‘24 Degree’ the resorts Pan Asian restaurant.
