Shalom, Tashkent!: "
On the 13-th of August a group of israel tourists visited our capital. 14 citizens of Israel came to 'meet' with ancient sights of Tashkent and Samarkand and to see magnificient Fan Mountains. The first day included Tashkent excursion with small streetwalking and lunch in some national restaurant.
I joined this group with a photo camera and a notebook - irreplaceable 'friends' of journalists to make an interesting photo-report. Here below my work done:
The first meeting was near the hotel. The tourists were met by our guide Sergey Repin. The guests loaded their baggage - they would have to go to Samarkand after this excursion.
In the meantime, israel tourists were ready to see Tashkent. The first sightseeing - State Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Alisher Navoi.
The tourists have discovered every place of the theater - so much it was amazed. They were interested in it's architectural style and history.
Then, we continued our trip till the Old city. Hast Imam Square is considered to be a religious venter of Tashkent. Here we stayed for a long time - the tourists from all the world have to see the sights located here.
The guests aked a lot aout the history and meaning of every building og the square. Their photocameras were working hard - everybody liked to have a photo there.
Israel people liked uzbek national souvenirs so much. Almost all would like to buy something.
Walking through the ancient streets of the old city was a pleasurable, inspite of the hot waether. The tourists got in touch with some local people, their lifestyle.
Then we visited well-known Kukeldash madrassah and famous Chor Su bazaar. Again the guests didn't want to leave this place for a long time)))
Really admired Uzbek bread 'lepeshka' - truly proud of the Uzbek cuisine.
After this place I left our guests. They will come back soon, so I will see them again to ask them about their impression of travelling in Asia!
